Travel in May 2024
In May 2024, I went on my first trip to Thailand since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. It had been about four years since my last trip. Because of the time that had passed, I was able to really notice the changes in the area (such as the fact that some of my familiar restaurants were no longer there). In particular, the changes in Bangkok's railway infrastructure. The new Central Station and the additional lines, I wasn't able to cover everything on this trip. I'll look forward to it next time. In this time, I took a sleeper train from the New Central Station to "Nong Kai" for the first time. Anyway, I enjoyed this travel in Thailand for the first time in a while. The situation in tourist areas still seems to have not fully recovered compared to previous peak times. It may take a little more time.
Visited cities on the trip
On this trip, I had spent the longest time in Pattaya. I rented a motorcycle and enjoyed a relaxing time in this seaside town. In Bangkok, I made full use of public transportation (boat, bus, and train) to get around the tourist spots. This was my first visit to Nong Khai, and I took the time to explore the town.
Souvenirs
I bought a lot of goods on this trip. I chose some items as souvenirs for myself and my friends.
